A Meaningful Visit to Gangaramaya Temple and Cultural Exploration
On February 6, we visited the exposition of the Devnimori Relics of Lord Buddha held at Gangaramaya Temple. It was a historically and spiritually significant occasion, and our students were deeply inspired by this rare opportunity to pay respect to the sacred relics.
Following the exposition, we visited the Japanese Corner at Colombo Public Library.
We were warmly received by Dr. P. H. P. de Silva, Member of the Executive Committee of the Lanka Japan Friendship Association, and his wife, Ms. Junko who kindly introduced various Japanese books to our students. Dr. de Silva also shared valuable insights on how to foster friendship between Japan and Sri Lanka, as well as perspectives on Japanese ways of thinking and cultural values. It was truly a meaningful and enriching day for our students.
At our academy, we place strong emphasis on respecting both cultures and learning how to build mutual understanding and trust through practical experience. This approach goes beyond theoretical knowledge; it creates lasting impressions and meaningful experiences that remain with students as they move forward in their future endeavors.
